Caroline wins the 2018 master student prize from the French Metallurgy and Materials Society - Western section for her thesis entitled "Diffusion de l'hydrogène en surface et subsurface du nickel monocristallin: approches numériques et expérimentale". Congratulations Caro :) !

The first paper for the CRACKHINIT project: Trapping/detrapping kinetic rates of hydrogen around a vacancy in nickel and some consequences on the hydrogen-vacancy clusters thermodynamic equilibrium , has been published!
Xavier will give an invited talk entitled "Hydrogen consequences on cyclic behaviour of <001> nickel single crystals : a multi-scale approach" and Arnaud will give a talk entitled "Contribution of defects on the anisotropic diffusion behaviour of hydrogen in nickel single crystals" at the Multiscale Materials Modeling meeting in Osaka from 10/28 to 11/2.
Arnaud will give a talk "Thermodynamic versus kinetic origin of SuperAbundant Vacancy formation in Ni single crystal in presence of hydrogen" and will present a poster entitled "Solubility and diffusion of hydrogen in the (100) surface and subsurface layers in Ni from first principles calculations" at the SteelyHydrogen meeting in Ghent (Belgium) from 5/29 to 5/31.
Arnaud will present a poster (in french) entitled "Contribution des défauts sur le comportement anisotrope de la diffusion de l'hydrogène dans le nickel monocristallin" at the Plasticité 2018 meeting in Nancy from 4/9 to 4/11.
